Lightweight fill that can carry load
EPS is light, strong for its weight and dimensionally stable. Contractors use it to fill voids, as lightweight fill in road works and landscaping, and to insulate floors and roofs. Aspen EPS has gone into projects such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai International Airport and Nation Tower.

What makes EPS work here
- Density to suit the load. We produce EPS from 8 to 50 kg/m³. Higher densities are stronger and more rigid for load-bearing uses; lighter grades suit void forming.
- Fire retardant or standard. Blocks and sheets are made in fire retardant and non-fire retardant types. More on fire retardant EPS.
- Any size. Blocks up to 6.0 m long, and sheets cut to any thickness. Non-standard sizes are supplied on request.
- Works with concrete. EPS is compatible with cement, concrete, brick, masonry, mortars and plaster.

Questions about void fill & construction
What is EPS void fill?
Void fill means using lightweight EPS blocks to take up space in a structure or in the ground, for example in floors, landscaping or swimming pool infill, instead of heavier materials.
Is EPS the same as geofoam?
Geofoam is the name often used for EPS blocks used as lightweight fill in civil works such as roads and landscaping. We supply EPS blocks for these uses.
Which EPS density do I need for construction?
Lighter grades suit void forming and filling; heavier grades suit load-bearing uses. If your consultant has specified a density or compressive strength, send it to us; if not, tell us the application and we will recommend one.
Do you supply fire retardant EPS?
Yes. EPS blocks and sheets are produced in fire retardant and non-fire retardant types. Check which your project specification requires.
Do you deliver to site?
Yes. We deliver across the UAE in our own vehicles, or you can collect your order from our factory in Umm Al Quwain.
