Light, buoyant and cut to size
EPS is about 98% air with a closed-cell structure, which makes it light and buoyant. Marine contractors have used Aspen EPS for pontoon developments at Ghantoot and in the Northern Emirates, and at waterfront projects from Palm Jumeirah to Al Mirfa.

What makes EPS work here
- Cut to your size. Standard blocks are 122 × 100 cm in cross-section and 2.0 m to 6.0 m long. We cut them to the size of your floats, and supply non-standard sizes on request.
- Choose the density. We produce EPS from 8 to 50 kg/m³. If your designer or pontoon system specifies a density, send it with your sizes.
- Shaped by CNC. Shaped floats and profiles can be cut by CNC to your drawing.
- Fire retardant or standard. Blocks are made in fire retardant and non-fire retardant types.

Questions about pontoons & flotation
Can EPS be used for pontoons?
Yes. EPS is widely used for flotation such as pontoons, floating docks, rafts and buoys. Aspen EPS has been supplied to pontoon developments at Ghantoot and in the Northern Emirates, and to Anchor Marina on Palm Jumeirah.
